good bye, champagne of beers!

now that molsoncoors and SABmiller have announced their intention to merge at the end of year:

i am sad to announce that i will no longer indulge in miller high life. i will also say goodbye to pilsner urquel and peroni(which isn't that big of a loss, considering every time i order it, the beer is beyond skunky).

i hate coors with a fiery passion. besides making the vomit-worthy coors light and zima(don't drink the zima, it's for the chicks, man!) i refuse to support those right-wing conservative kooks.

the more i think about it, the more i think that dragging out posting the tour photos to at least four months after the fact is becoming more attractive. or acheivable. whichever you prefer.

this weekend my mom was in town. we ate at chicago chop house STEAKS!, opera DELICIOUS CHINESE FOOD!, RLWASPY LADIES WHO LUNCH, and my new obsession, jerry's. shopping commenced and we all got our makeup done @saks. i held back on my purchases because beauty week is next weekend and nars should be premiering their holiday color then. it is supposed to be sparkly...so i am in heaven. both my mom and i had our hair done by traci. my mom liked her haircut so much, she is threatening to come back to chicago reguarly to have traci cut it!

here are some photos that my mom took while we were on the chicago river boat tour. i can't believe that after living here for nine years, this was the first time that i had been on the tour.

here is one of my favorie residences in chicago...the nautical townhouses on the river at kinze street

iconic chicago shot.

this post was created while i watched marie antoinette. i have to say it's a bit on the boring side. at least sitting at home, watching it on a 20" screen. i should have gone to the theater to see it. visually, it is stunning. but i have to say i am a little disappointed in sofia.
