slighty OK cameraphone photo of the incomparable neil finn.

i've been totally slacking on finishing the photo posts on the rest of the tour. but i feel compelled to post this before i return to posting tour photos. i went to see the incredible crowded house on saturday night @the house of blues. i've only casually listened to the band in the past. early this spring, vh1 classic ran the "farewell to the world" concert several times and i was immediately transformed into a fan. i actually bought the companion cd to the concert and the new album "time on earth" this summer. tickets for the show went on sale in may, so i had been looking forward to it for quite some time. i was not disappointed. neil finn's son, liam finn opened for the band and i was pleasantly surprised at how good he was. can't wait for his album to come out domestically.

here is a lovely photo of jessica and i in pravada, a russian bar in the french quarter. i believe this was post the now infamous red bull + vodka slushie. ah, the alcoholic slushies of the south. i miss you. especially on days like this. chicago people, how amazing would it be if they started serving such beverages here? at happy village, par example?
